Veteran Affairs Programs

The Cattle on a Thousand Hills (TCOATH) is a non-profit organization established to provide assistance to veterans and reservists who are facing financial hardships due to the extension of peace keeping efforts in the Afghanistan and Iraq wars.

 

Mortgage Gap Assistance

TCOATH’s Veterans Affairs Program oversees the mortgage gap assistance provided to veterans who are recently discharged from the military and are in jeopardy of foreclosure on their property. The criterion includes foreclosure due to loss of income because of retirement or military discharge. TCOATH will pay up to 75% of the monthly mortgage payment up to 6 months. If further assistance is required the client must be reevaluated.

Reservists who are required to extend their time due to the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq are eligible to participate in this program, based on the stipulation of the lending institution, TCOATH will provide assistance up to 75% of the monthly payment.

 

Temporary Boarding Suites

TCOATH’s Temporary Housing Program will provide housing for up to a year in one of our assistant living suites for any honorably discharged veteran or reservist who has returned from the Afghanistan and Iraq war without housing or is in need of housing assistance.

 

Voucher Programs

TCOATH’s Voucher Program will provide up to 75% of all costs to provide assistance to veterans and reservists who:

  • Are eligible to receive care for post traumatic stress disorder.
  • Need assistance with day or night time child care using the TCOATH model know as “Camp Care”.

Note: Christian-based day care facilities are eligible to participate in “Camp Care” as a vendor of choice.

 

Emergency Flight Privileges

Emergency Airline tickets to immediate family members only to see a love one returning from combat. This will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
